Faculty Evaluations

Departments and schools or whole universities may have particular systems for the evaluation of faculty activity.  There is workflow involved in the review of faculty teaching, scholarship, service and administrative work.  The Mentor Faculty Evaluation system is a component that draws data from the faculty activity reporting system but adds the additional flexibility to define goals for the coming year, reflection on the previous year’s goals, projection of courses to be taught in the next year (or more), specific file uploads under the categories of teaching, scholarship, service, administrative service and two additional client defined categories, and prompts to faculty to answer specific questions in each of these categories.  These functions can all be switched on or off by the administrator (chair, dean, provost’s office) and a workflow can be defined for the review of the faculty evaluation report, which can include numeric assessments or assessment with a rubric.
